ABOUT

My name is Marcus and I am the songwriter/guitarist for my band Pillars Of Hercules. We are a progressive groove metal band that is trying to push the envelope in terms of what is considered to be a "heavy" genre. We encorporate electronics into our music to add another dimension to metal. Although we are considered metal, it isn't as heavy as you might anticipate. Our main focus is GROOVE and MELODY. Our songs are extremely upbeat and basically makes you want to do the running man the entire time we play a gig. Although right now we currently only have a screamer, we have always wanted to add a dynamic singer who can take us to the next level. We don't want to add a singer for the purpose of having a generic heavy verse, clean singing chorus, heavy verse, clean singing chorus type thing. We want someone who will sing over breakdowns and electronic parts to blend the heavy groove style with singing. Although our ratio of singing to screaming is basically 0:100, thats only because we haven't found a singer who can give us what we are looking for. Once we find someone who can add that special dynamic, we want the singing to screaming ratio to be about 70:30 with clean singing being the dominant vocals. We want to find someone who can possibly have the range of an anthony green (circa survive), or something like that. Any singers out there, please hit us up, we are looking for YOU!
