Bassist/arranger/composer/producer.
Currently developing The Triage ft. LaTee Da (jazz and blues standards with unique originals). We're looking for a regular drummer, and occasional strings and a trombonist for recording projects now and gigs when (if?) we ever get back to having a live music scene in PDX. Tracks 2&3 are from our 2019 Christmas E.P. I played bass and drums, arranged the strings and produced the tracks.

Ongoing solo project: Pomo Leviathan (original Latin jazz). Looking for perc (timbales, congas, bongos), piano and horns for collab and possible club dates. Track 1 and the video are a winter 2021 demo; I played everything and produced the track and video.

Hit me at steve <at> rawley <dot> org if you're interested in collaborating.
I may also available for other (established) projects as a sub or regular, if it's interesting enough. :) I don't have the bandwidth for developing a new act at the moment.
I play primarily double bass. I also play bass guitar and synth bass, plus drums and Latin percussion (congas, bongos, timbales).
I played lead alto sax with Poli Chávez y sus Coronados in the 90s, and still play sax once in a while.
I have a home studio for practice and recording, and pro gear for gigging. I can arrange and transcribe and produce pro horn/strings charts.
Latin jazz and jazz are my jam, but I'm open to other styles (except guitar rock). As long as it swings and has spaces in between, I'm down. Americana, singer-songwriter, acoustic is cool. Theatrical, psychedelic, performance art, or otherwise cross-pollinated stuff would be a blast.
