Hi, my name is Pixie. I am looking to form an all female band of my own, ages 35-55. I have an ad on Craigslist right now, if you want to contact me through there. Ad posted the week of Feb 11th 2019, about.
I will be the lead singer/front woman and I need a backing band. I will be doing mostly Pop, some Rock, some R&B, some Jazzy/Pop (like Michael Buble, Astrud Gilberto), a bit of Latin. Maybe some Rap influenced Pop songs, a little country(Dixie Chicks - Sin Wagon, Goodbye Earl, etc). A variety of music styles/genres, but mostly Pop. I will eventually get into creating/putting out my own songs/music. But I will be starting out with doing my favorite artists cover songs.

So I will need a lead guitarist, rhythm guitarist, bass guitarist, keyboardist, drums/percussion and a violinist/strings. Female background singer, knowing how to play an instrument preferably. I am so close to having about 6+ songs on my keyboard all set to go, to play out at open mic nights etc and gig sometime in the near future. I have been singing/playing keyboard on mostly Sara Bareilles covers. Love Song, Yellow Brick Road, Gravity, She Used To Be Mine, Brave, Gonna Get Over You, I Choose You(acoustic guitar, that I will be playing), When He Sees Me, King Of Anything, Once Upon Another Time, Bottle It Up etc. Ariana Grande - No Tears Left To Cry, Lady Gaga - Million Reasons, Joanne, Perfect Illusion, etc etc. Alicia Keys - If I Ain’t Got You, A Woman’s Worth, Feels by Calvin Harris ft. Katy Perry, Break My Stride by Matthew Wilder, Donna Summer - On the Radio, Last Dance, Bad Girls, I Feel Love... Amii Stewart - Knock On Wood, Hallelujah and White Winter Hymnal etc...by Pentatonix, KT Tunstall - Black Horse And A Cherry Tree, K.D. Lang -Constant Craving, Paula Cole-Where Have All The Cowboys Gone, The Cardigans - Love Fool, Owl City - Fireflies, Rockabye by Clean Bandit ft. I will be learning and adding as many songs as fast as I can. I want my band to be great entertainers and have great stage presence as well as being great at communicating with me and talking to other band members as a group. I want to make sure there isn’t any dead space and we tackle issues head on, but with compassion and empathy for each other. We will be a team. And band comraderie and getting along is important.

So I want to gather a great experienced drummer, lead guitarist, bass guitarist, acoustic guitarist who also is great at rhythm playing. Even a keyboardist/electronic keyboardist when I just want to sing some songs without playing the keyboard for certain songs(hands free, lol.) It’s preferable if you know and are into the artists, songs I’ve mentioned. Some songs I may just play solo. But it would great to have a band to fill out some of the songs. But play full out with all instruments for other songs. I will eventually have dancers for certain songs, or dancing as a part of our performances.
I also need members to be good, experienced singers as well as I will need harmonies for certain songs.
I was in a band just this past summer and want everyone to be professional, mature, no drama, no drinking, no drugs. I expect everyone to be on time, no drama and know upfront what I expect and want out of my band. And being very committed is of the utmost importance to make this work. No creeps or anyone thinking it’s a place to get a hook up or a date. We all need to be on the same page with my ideas, desires for this band. If we are not, it will not work out.

If you are between 35-55 female only. And I need someone who has a full set up practice space as my place is not ideal for our jam sessions. I want to eventually go out and gig.
