Originally hailing from Minneapolis, Minnesota, a city and state where the elements vary from 105 degree summers to 30 below zero winters, you cannot help but wonder if the extreme elemental changes can affect a bands creative vision. In the case of Aberrance, their hometown is such a reflection, among other things. Each members upbringing is as varying as their tastes in music, but melded together, the band has managed to create something new, unique, and ultimately aberrant of what has become the norm in toddays music industry. Verying from modern rock to nearly metal to experimental and progressive, they have infused a multitude of elements to create something that is their own.
The goal is simple: take what is considered the 'norm' in music, take what is considered 'safe', and throw that out the window, and simply create songs that are complete, honest, and real. Never forced, never to a 'formula', and simply created for the song itself, and the art within the song... A simple ethos with resounding results.
In it's short existance, Aberrance played Minneapolis' legendary First Avenue Mainroom, produced two feature length music videos, moved over 1500 copies of their 2 song and 2 video demo, played with National Acts such as TVT Recording artists Bobaflex, former Arista artists Lennon, and Ozzfest alumni Magna-Fi, and has continued to gain fans as far away as Portugal, South America, and Asia.. They have played with the regions top acts on numerous occassions, and gained the respect of fans and local industry alike. Now, with a recent move to the Los Angeles, California region, they have taken another step in spreading their vision and music to a larger audience. With their current business opportunities, and focus on their music and careers away from their homes, 2006 will be the year to shine for this band.
