experienced, I do homework,IMO group practice is to fine tune,change a few notes,chords, for chemistry, dynamics, not to start learning your part.I like to learn new songs continually, not always play the same ones, and determine which songs naturally fit all players,delete,add, just part of process to yield best tunes that work given group members, former Music Major/ Drum Teacher-/ Many successful bands, percussion, classical orchestra-prefer to first write out drum parts then memorize,like to be well prepared with tight, harmony and lead vocals.I certainly have flaws and can be wrong like anyone else.
