Been playing since about 9y.o. Play acoustic and electric guitar, bass and recently started messing with a mandolin. On guitar I've been told I'm a very good rhythm player, I like playing tasty rhythms, small licks, double stops, etc. not repetitive stuff unless that's what the tune calls for. I (try) to play leads, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, SRV I ain't. I've tried to sing, I do ok on harmonies but as a lead singer I'm usually too uncomfortable to pull it off. I started playing bass years ago, friends needed a bass player, that morphed into full time bass playing, I enjoy it and have had very positive responses.
I would like to find someone or more to play music with, hopefully someone who sings, even if they don't play. I've played out many years and places, that's a lot of fun (most times) & I would do it again but I would be very happy to find someone to play music with, even just sitting in a park or wherever, playing music with someone else (who, hopefully, sings. Even semi-badly.) it's all about enjoying music, the feelings & happiness it brings. And I would be willing to play any songs, any style you want. Lots of fun!!! just to be playing & if you want to play out for $, I would do that, too. p.s.I don't have a drug/alcohol problem, don't care for either. I just Love music!!!!! Acoustic guitar: Jorma Kaukoen, Jerry Douglas & Tony Rice, Pete Huttlinger, Merle Travis, Django Reinhardt, McCartney, Clapton, Keb' Mo'. Electric guitar: Clapton, J.Beck, Mark Knopfler, Buddy Guy, Mike Bloomfield, Roy Buchanan, Duane Allman/Dickey Betts,Mick Taylor. Mandolin: Sam Bush, Mike Marshall and more. This list & all catagories could go on & on as I feel I've been influenced one way or another by everything I've ever heard, many types of music.
