Band to Join.

I'm a self taught bassist & rhythm guitarist who's looking to join an established band, or a determined start-up project. I've played in both original bands & cover bands, and while I prefer cover bands (usually larger crowds with higher pay), I'm open to both. I've written many original songs, I'm familiar with the writing process and I welcome collaboration between band mates. I prefer playing bass, but would play rhythm if needed. My main objective is to have fun while putting on a professional show for an audience.

I'm 44 years old and I have 20 years of stage & studio experience. I'm very easygoing with an upbeat & professional attitude with no drama, drug or alcohol problems. It's been a while, but after some practice I may be able to help with backing vocals. I'll arrive at practice well prepared so as not to waste anyone's time. I have pro equipment, reliable transportation, great "stage presence" and the itch to get back on stage.

In full disclosure, I'm a career firefighter and my work schedule could be a factor. I'm on duty for 24 hours, then I'm off duty for 48 hours. I know this sounds different, but I've been playing in bands on & off for 20 years and I've either been able to get the shift off, or the band was gracious enough to scheduled gigs on days that I'm off duty. Please take this into consideration if you decide to reply to this ad.

I live in Mechanicsburg, but I don't mind driving a reasonable distance for practice. So if your band is located anywhere in the western to central Ohio area and needs a fun, hard working bassist or rhythm guitarist, feel free to contact me. Please send details about your band including audio/video recordings, web sites, social media pages, etc., and I'll get back to you ASAP.

Attached are several studio recordings & a video performance of me playing bass, as well as some professional photos of me having a good time jumping around. Also attached is a list of some of the cover songs that I've played in the past on bass guitar.

Thanks and good luck on your search!
