Band to Join.

Experienced drummer looking to get my teeth into a new musical project, meet some great people and have a crap-ton of fun. Not looking to be a hired gun but instead be part of something cool. Something greater than the sum of its parts.

Been playing for 20+ years and worked with several bands, both originals and covers. Nothing professional but I’ve played on some decent stages (festivals and the like), had the pleasure to jam with some wonderful musicians, and I’m genuinely proud of some of my recordings.

Genre-wise, check the Influences section to see the things that give me the warm and fuzzies. I’ve also posted some tunes with a few of my bands over the years:

- Pacific Coast Soul Co - 11-piece, rip-roaring soul covers
- The 27 Club - Funky hip-hop from the northeast of England
- The Velours - Harmonica-led London blues
- Grand Harmonic - Layered indie blues rock

My style is pretty funky / rocky / bluesy. I’m never to going to thrash, and drum solos bore the living crap out of me. But I’ll put down a heavy phat groove and happily take it somewhere with you. LOVE jamming and throwing my arms about, but have the discipline to stay firmly in that pocket when needed. Gotta respect the song, right?

I have decent kit (both acoustic and electric) and a bunch of percussion for those acoustic songs/venues (congas, cajon, multiple shakey things). Aside from drums I can sing a bit (backing vox) and can carry a tune on a ukulele. But drums is my jam.

Looking forward to seeing who’s out there. Ideally looking to jam and play locally in SoCal. I’m also up for online collaborations - I have V-Drums and a mini home studio so can lay down drum parts remotely.

Let’s makes some noise!
