I'm a lead guitarist looking to put together a serious band. I'm very passionate about music, and am looking for the same. Big egos are welcomed here, but if you don't know how to work together as a band, don't bother me. I believe everyone in a band has a say in everything. I love writing music, and would rather not play covers. I can't stand the newage pop sound, and I'd like to help bring the guitar back to the radio. I live out in the sticks, but a have a huge 20 X 40 living room that I've converted to a studio. I've first picked up a guitar when I was 8, but didn't start playing till after hurricane Katrina. Since then, I've decided to sell my soul to rock, and play for hours all day and night. My playing isn't fast or extremely clean (yet), but I play with confidence because I know I'm playing with attitude and making my stuff be felt, and to me, that's what makes music different from sound, not shredding faster then God. Most non-musicians think I play as fast as Steve Vai anyway. I'm still getting better and adding to my vocabulary everyday. 4 months ago I could barely even improvise. I don't try sounding like anybody else, I just learn what I'm already natural at.
The audio pieces are of me playing around with some covers on my computer, I recorded myself playing rhythm, lead and bass, over a midi drum track, and that is me singing (I'm not a singer) The solos are all improvised.
I have a couple of original instrumentals and many parts and pieces of songs that I'd rather not finish until I have band members to help put their ideas into it. Contact me anytime at 985-795-2261.
