Hi! You’ve arrived at the BandMix page for Portmanteau, an alternative group that plays a mix of covers and originals in the vein of rock, Americana, acoustic, and alternative. If you’d like to get in touch about joining or just have more questions about the band, feel free to email us at junglebooking727 at

The purpose of this band is to compose a lighthearted group of musicians who all have busy lives but want to regularly play together to enjoy music and each other’s company (and maybe make a little side change while doing it lol). To fulfill that purpose, we maintain a judgment free environment where you come as you are and bring what you can, but leave your worries and drama at home. This is meant to be a diverse band, respectful of people regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, etc, so keep that in mind.

Members Of Band

At the moment it’s just Cate on drums, so we’re looking to fill plenty of spots. Cate used to play gigs with a band in Springfield until she and her husband moved to AR a year or so ago, and she’s looking to return to the music scene in a casual way.

Cate plays an Eastar ES-680 compact drum kit, which is a simple three piece kit ideal for small venues and easy gigging.
