Howdy, Music Friends!

I empathize with your energetic eagerness to resume the jam sessions, but we must allow the existing pandemic and forest fires to orchestrate our behavior however disheartening it may become. I have received word from the Kern County offices that the closure will be in effect at least throughout September. Please realize how regretful we are that this moratorium remains in force.

Rest assured that I will definitely report any updates immediately. You have my word!

Keep an eye open for notification of resuming our Jammin' Tuesdays scheduling. We are waiting for a green light from the Kern County officials.

The KRV Senior Center has opted to lean toward the side of caution by remaining closed until a later date! Our performance sessions will NOT resume this week. Please, keep your eye on this notification at least weekly in anticipation of our forthcoming resumption of our get-togethers.

As of May 30, 2020 … the following advisory is in force:

Mr. Glen Dale at the Office of Parks & Recreation has indicated that …

1. The Lake Isabella Senior Center will not be opened to the public on June 2, 2020 as proposed.

2. The reopening will be determined in Bakersfield and handled on a weekly basis.

3. All recommendations regarding disinfectants, masks, social distancing and behavior will be forthcoming soon.
