Hi. I am a 49-year-old guy in Denton, Texas. I have been playing for three years now. I have been learning on my own. I haven't been playing other people's music much, rather I am trying to come up with stuff of my own. I guess I feel like that might help me develop my own style. I'd say I am at the intermediate or moderate stage right now (whatever that is). I am mostly a rhythm player. I practice seven days a week, usually, and to the point that I developed trigger-finger in my left hand :) . That's why I am mostly a rhythm player. I am at that same point as a lot of folks on Bandmix - needing to play with other people so that I can get better. I am looking for individuals in the area who are at the same level as I that would like to start getting together to help each other improve. I'd really like to find some folks willing enough to develop our own songs and eventually get to a point where we can perform them live for other folks.

EQUIPMENT
I have a basic Squire Strat and a Fender Acoustic-Electric that I don't play much. I love the electric. I have a Boss Katana 50 Watt amp. I have a ZOOM guitar effects pedal that has about 40 guitar effects as well as about forty drum effects on it. I use the hell out of that! I also have a Cry Baby wah pedal.
