SEEKING
Band to Join.ABOUT
Looking for a rock, blues-rock or rock/blues project. Will cross over for Americana (Jason Isbell, Mellencamp, Eagles, etc.). Available for rehearsal weekly and one-three gigs per month.
Interests run the range of Humble Pie, Cream, Robin Trower, Jimi Hendrix, Phil X and The Drills, WVH Mammoth, Dirty Honey, King's X, Stone Temple Pilots, Blues Traveler, Black Crowes, Led Zeppelin, SRV, ZZ Top, Cheap Trick (!),Thin Lizzy, James Gang, AC/DC, Mountain, Ted Nugent, etc. But I'm open minded -- if it rocks and rolls, I'm in.
My standard conditions for gigs:
1) It has to be good -- good music and musicianship are table stakes.
2) It has to be fun -- if I'm not having a good time, why am I doing it?
3) I don't load in for less than $100 -- it's not about the money, it's about respect.
4) The house comps my drinks -- see items #2 (fun) and #3 (respect).
5) I don't set up in the dirt -- I don't think that needs any further explanation.
6) No "Stairway," no "Freebird." Great songs -- never need to play them ever again.
