Seeking Female Singer

Vocalist - Tenor, Vocalist - Soprano.

This will appear long winded, but it addresses all the bullsh*t that anyone who has been in this business any reasonable length of time will recognize. Please read the entire post and reply if you're interested.

We have collective experience playing all over DFW over the last 15 years in reasonably successful electric blues/classic rock bands. We have worked apart and together on various projects over the years, but are now looking to get back under the lights with a full band focus.

We are forming a classic/southern/Texas/blues rock band with a regional flare and seek a FEMALE lead vocalist to front the band and own the crowd. Rhythm guitar and/or keys abilities are a plus.

If music is your sole source of income and you need to work to make ends meet, we are not the band for you. If you are opposed to a mix of covers and originals, we are not the band for you. If you live too far from Garland/Rowlett/Rockwall, given the price of gas and traffic, we might not be the band for you.

Our current lineup consists of the following positions:
Male Keys/Lead/Rhythm Guitar/Vocals
Male Lead/Rhythm Guitar
Male Bass/Vocals
Male Drummer

We are dedicated to rehearsals and solo practice between gigs to get up to speed on our sets, but we do not want to spend endless months building them. We want to hit the boards soon, but we are not looking to work constantly. We all have real lives, so a few gigs per month max suits us all.

We all have reliable transportation.
We all have a cell phone.
We all have careers outside music and are not seeking stardom.
We are all 50 years of age or older.
We don't need a kitchen pass to rehearse/gig.
We show up to rehearse when we say we will.
We are (reasonably) balanced.
We all have outgoing personalities and are adept at working crowds.
We do no drugs.
We bring no drama.
We laugh a lot (often at ourselves).
We drink alcohol on occasion, rarely to excess, and never excessively at a gig.
We bring no ego, except that which fuels the desire and discipline to get it right on stage.

Our primary focus is on the audience. Our secondary focus is on having a good time. With those two priorities in mind we are:

1. aware that just because a band can play a tune, that doesn't mean a live audience wants to hear it.
2. aware that just because one of us wants to play a certain tune, the rest of the band might not.
3. aware that we will probably have to play some tunes that we're not into.

These three things are fine with us when we're having a good time and entertaining an audience.

We have a great air conditioned/heated and secure place with cool neighbors in Rowlett to rehearse and store gear. This yields more productive playing time and less setup/teardown time.

We don't audition players. We prefer to jam and look for synergy. If you like what you read, drop us a line and and we can see where it goes.
