I've played in an emo-core pop-punk band, a RATM-style rap-rock band, and Boo! Said the Ghost. I realized in the last year that I've limited myself to a categorized vision of music, and thought I was being innovative when I was really just swapping styles and occasionally straying away from 4/4.
After 14 years of playing guitar, I'm finally starting to understand the guitar and enjoy writing. I've become comfortable with being a little adventurous concerning structure and composition. I like to play around with themes and write riffs that are fun. The most fun is to be had from jamming the riffs with an open minded drummer/ bassist and composing a song from everyone's contribution.
