I play acoustic guitar, rhythm electric guitar, and oboe. I also can sing a strong backup vocal. I am interested in playing just about any kind of music except rap, country, and heavy metal. I like pop, rock, jazz, classical, lounge, latin, etc. Also, I listed my years of playing as 25. I have been playing guitar on and off for 28 years. I am not a professional, but can carry a strong rhythm playing, and I have been an amateur oboist for 5 years with lots of playing experience in community groups and once on stage with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. Influences
I have a vast collection of music and am always open to new discoveries. I am listening to alot of World Music (esecially Brazilian) and classical, but I love just about everything. Pat Benatar to Pat Metheny, Sergio Mendes, Heart, Moby, Joni Mitchell, Tina Turner, The B52s, Enya, Fleetwood Mac, Sting, Andreas Vollenweider, all Brazilian music old and new, etc. etc. etc. As you can see, I like many many many styles. More than I can mention here.
EQUIPMENT
I own a 12-string Sigma Martin acoustic guitar, and Ibanex EX-350 electric 6 string guitar, a (non-electric) classical guitar, a Yamaha 211 oboe, an Ampeg amp, and a smattering of instruments that are less than desirable to use for any serious purpose. I also just obtained a student Bundy saxophone which I hope to learn to play someday!
