Queen's Bishop is a funk/soul/rock/blues band from Charlotte.
During the spring of 2008, Gary Brockway and Shane Honeycutt initiated a strong friendship that would eventually lead to the foundation of the band. Over the course of the next year and a half, they started to create their own music while playing with numerous musicians. In fall of 2009, they ran across a singer, Symone, with whom they instantly felt a strong connection. The three colleagues began to write all new material while searching for a drummer to establish their ideal four-piece band.

Since November of 2009, the four musicians have continued to build their relationship as they continually worked on creating songs. Queen’s Bishop is an original band that mixes a blend of Rock, R&B, Blues, Funk, and Jazz into their dynamic sound. Following a long winter of hard work, the band is ready to start performing around Charlotte and the surrounding areas. Keep an eye out for the new sound that will emerge in the upcoming months that lay ahead.
