ABOUT

Quichenight is the musical project of Nashville-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Brett Rosenberg. Beginning in 2011 with his debut release Quichenight I, recorded alone in the basement of Battle Tapes studio where Rosenberg was living at the time, he quickly established himself as a mainstay of the city's thriving DIY scene.

Over the years, Rosenberg has honed his distinctive sound, drawing inspiration from the musical language of 20th-century classics to create contemporary outsider pop. His lo-fi recordings capture a raw and intimate quality that contrasts with the more polished productions of his peers.

With Rosenberg joining Pujol in 2012, Quichenight's early output garnered a small cult following. 2013’s Quichenight III was named seventh best album of the year in the Nashville Scene critics' poll. Since, Rosenberg has released a steady stream of music, including 2015’s studio album The Minor Sea.

In 2018, Rosenberg collaborated with Jasmin Kaset of Birdcloud, producing her solo album Tuxedo, and released Quichenight's Cooler Heads, a second studio album produced by Jeremy Ferguson. In 2019, Rosenberg released the punk album Dork in the Dark on Burger Records.

Quichenight’s latest releases include two instrumental albums, Cosmic Gurney and Illegal Quiche, the synth-heavy Tesago, and Clown Country, a compilation of unreleased songs.
