Guitarist with home studio in Patchogue seeks “Active” mature drummer (45+) to help record various original songs. Music touches all phases of classic/hard/prog rock. Seeking an individual that will help in the creative process & not as a sideman.
Home studio is complete with both electronic & acoustic drum kits.
Player should be into recording original music & be able to commit to at least one night a week. Not interested in sending music files out, I want to communicate one on one, in person, & not through e-mails or texts, I want to experience the musical spontaneity first hand, & work together in the same room, not miles away sending files back & forth…
Currently, I’m an active musician performing in a working tribute band & I’m anxious to record my own music. My goal is to produce the music at a quality level other than just my scratch demos In hopes to share it with everyone so can I leave something behind, validating my over 30years of being an active semi-pro musician.
If you’ve been performing other artists music for decades, & feel the same way I do, then obviously you can relate to how easily you get caught up in this industry. You see yourself on be playing cover music, & that’s what you leave behind. You’ll look back always wishing you had done something original which in the end is personally more rewarding & gratifying….
