ABOUT

Looking to join a band or create a band in Sacramento area. I love female harmonies over acoustic music. I can play many instruments and am very flexible, have a unique vocal style and am interested in collaborating on some music to maybe write songs together or just be able to sing and play with others. I am very passionate about music and dedicate myself hours a day to playing and I am currently majoring in Music at Sac City, soon to transfer to Sac State to complete my BA.

Influences

First Aid Kit is my absolute favorite at the moment, I love female vocalists such as Tori Amos, Kate Bush, Suzanne Vega, Phoebe Bridgers, MXMToon, Julian Baker, Laurie Anderson, The Staves, The Wild Reeds, Regina Spektor, Emmylou Baker, just to mention a few. I also love Indie Rock and Pop, I love Elliott Smith, I used to be obsessed with Death Cab for Cutie but not so much anymore, Leonard Cohen will always be super important to me, The Shins are one of my faves, as well as Belle and Sebastian, Arcade Fire, Sigur Ros, etc. I have a love for eletronic music as well, I regularly listen to ambient electronic such as Boards of Canada, which is what I listen to when I have to concentrate. I also love older folk and classic rock (Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, Janis Joplin, Fleetwood Mac), and so much more. I have a passion for music in general and will listen to basically anything howebver my love folk acoustic and female harmonizing has recently grown exponentially, and would enjoy to creating music with a very folk/country sound with vocals that are more contemporary and with not too much country.

EQUIPMENT

Keyboard, drums, guitar, and ukulele currently, and am always looking to learn new instruments or something new. No recording equipment as of yet, but will be investing sooner than later. I have numerous instruments on my list I would still like to learn and/or acquire. However, the instruments I do have I am fairly proficient in and have been playing for over 20 years.
