Looking to put together an awesome Punk Goes... cover band to play the NJ/NY/WHEREVER bar scene. I play drums and I'm looking for rhythm and lead guitars, bass and vocals. This is going to be a fun and awesome project. If you know the Punk Goes.. compilation albums you know what I'm looking to do. Take popular songs and put a punk/hard/rock twist to them. Of course there will be a few songs we'll have to do as is...some classic songs should not be altered.

I'm looking for people who are into the same type of music that we'll be playing. I'm looking for people that will have fun and not stand in one place. I'm looking for people who will play for 3 hours and still have the energy to do more. I'm looking for people who want to make people dance, jump, grind and punch. I'm just looking to have some fun and make some extra cash.

ABOUT ME
I've been playing drums for 18+ years. I'm 28 years old and have a career. I've been playing live for 10 years. Have been in and played with several bands and also played drums for musical theater. I also play guitar and a little piano. I like ALL types of music from Beethoven to Slipknot...from Whitney Houston to Rage Against the Machine...Taylor Swift to Snoop Dogg. I've tried "making it" in an original band and my time has come and passed. Now I just want to play.

MUSICIANS
You have to know the hell out of your instruments. If you are just starting out I'm sorry, but no. I've tried too many times to play with people younger and older like that...didn't go anywhere.

Guitarists/Bassist - KNOW HOW TO PLAY. Be comfortable with playing in front of crowds. Don't look like a lump on a log...have fun and make sure everyone else is having fun even if you have to beat it into them. If you can spin your guitar or bass around your body that would be sweet. HAVE THE GEAR TO PLAY.

Vocals - KNOW HOW TO SING. Be comfortable with playing in front of crowds. Be able so sing for 3 one hour sets. Be confident in your singing. You don't have to be an AMERICAN IDOL or Corey Taylor.

FEMALE PLAYERS/SINGERS ARE WELCOMED TO JOIN IN ON THE FUN

Everyone has to be 21+ (we'll be playing bars). If you do drugs don't do them in front of me or at a show. If you drink...know your limit. If I can drink a bottle of jager and still be able to function after 2 hours...you should be able to as well. Check your ego at the door. I can smell an ego like I can sniff out dog sh*t. My previous band broke up because of egos and I've seen my friends band's break up because of egos. Also please have transportation to and from shows/practice.

I have contacts with some good bars (mostly in NY) and promoters and they can help us with getting into some bigger and better venues.

If you think this is something you would be interested in please email me. Send me videos or samples of you're playing/singing. Once all the members are found we will work on a set list, practice and play. The tighter the band is the quicker we can get down to play some gigs and kicking asses.
