ABOUT

I am proficient at bass, keyboards, acoustic guitar, instrumental and vocal arranging, and singing. I have a great ear for production and I've been working in DAWs for over 18 years – (first Cubase, then Abelton Live!, and then I moved to Logic Pro X in 2015). A DAW is a DAW. As long as you capture clean input, you're golden.

I am currently looking to collaborate on studio projects on a regular basis - playing and singing ANYTHING. I can record in my studio and send stems, or I'm cool with jamming/recording at your studio as well.

You could look at my friggin' white hair and think "damn, that dude is old AF!" (and you wouldn't be wrong - LOL) But, I am addicted to fresh, new music. Many guys my age get "stuck" in the past. I have always made a point to embrace what's happening now in music and I love to experiment. The world keeps moving forward, and I'm moving with it. Consequently, I'm not a great cover/tribute band choice. I like creating new stuff!

Sonically, dynamics are VERY important to me – so I love to play with people that actually LISTEN to each other, and craft something outstanding that can touch souls.

About me:
I graduated in Music Theory/Composition and Commercial Art and Advertising. (I could never decide between art and music).

I have a permanent fixed address, an actual day job (not selling weed), and I DON'T live in my mom's basement (any more). I know ... not a typical bass player - right?

I can sing SOLID backups and have a killer ear, so vocal arranging and BUVs come naturally.

My favorite basses are my Spector Legend 5 and my Geddy Lee Fender Jazz 4. I'll pull out the Yamaha fretless when I need something smoother.

I am a creative bassist - meaning, I'm not addicted to the root. I like to move around, and when appropriate, change the feel of a chord with inversions. I'm also a singer/songwriter and guitarist (mostly acoustic), playing anything from intricate picking to heavy rhythm. I can also play keys, drums and percussion – and love to record!

Playing creative, innovative, original music is my primary motivator.

Bottom line: I want to make some serious music and have a great time doing it!
__________

I played bass and keyboards in band called Big Murder from 2018 thru 2021. (Look for our albums No Small Plans and Slow Moving Planet on Apple Music/Spotify/etc) I also designed the album art for these two projects.

If you want to single out my voice, I wrote "Swarm" and "Black or White" – and played bass, keys, and lead vox. All others I wrote and sang all backups. "So Real" was my first shot at recording in '09 using Abelton and an old Roland VS-1680. It was a learning experience fo sho! LOLZ
