I started taking drum lessons at Shields Music when I was 4 years old. That was 1969. I have been playing ever since. I have done studio session work. I have played large and small venues alike. I am looking to gig for my own pleasure and the challenge of keep an edge.

Influences

After a performance at Rogers state College in the fall of 1986 Buddy Rich pouring with sweat and as everyone left, invited me up and asked me what I wanted to see. He took 10 minutes to explain and demonstrate his hi-hat technique. This was just a few months after he had quadruple bypass heart surgery. About 6 months before his death.
