ABOUT

I am a poet and experienced recording and stage vocalist. I am looking for a project with group of talented and experienced musicians that would like to write original music – and who are not opposed to playing covers for fun, and to fill space for live shows. I have been a lead vocalist for many SoCal and LA-based musical projects over the last 25 years. I also have voice in opera training and experience. I like to be on stage and I am dying to get out and perform in front of live audiences again. I like small venues but I have also performed in front of many larger audiences of 1000 - 2000 people or more - and I will not hesitate to do it again as soon as I have the chance. I am a smart ass but not a complete asshole (at least that seems to be the overall feedback). I am part of the band and they are part of me. Three years ago I moved back to California after living for six years in The Netherlands and traveling throughout Europe. I have multiple personalities and one of them has a wife and kids and is a scientist / Biotechnology engineer - That is the one that currently pays the bills. I look a lot younger than I am. I am not fat, particularly ugly, or funny looking. I am not a hopeless drunk or heavy drug addict, although I probably could be if I really tried. I am mostly harmless to others yet still dangerous, and I am usually pretty reliable.
Previous projects include:
Reiter – Rock / Metal / Alternative, Opening band for Great White, and UFO, Y&T. Two Released albums that lead to two showcase events at the Key Club Hollywood and The Troubadour Hollywood for representatives from Sony, Virgin, Capitol, Warner, and Interscope Records. Recorded our first studio album at the world famous Sunset Sound Studios in Hollywood.

I have too many influences from the 50s through today to be able to make a complete list. I like many types of music, many artists in many genres, and if it catches my ear it does not matter what it genre of music it is. But I will try to name a few…
Some of the many bands that have influenced me and that I have also covered (in no particular order):
Powerman 5000, White Zombie, Rob Zombie, Metallica, Megadeth, Aerosmith, Motley Crue, Van Halen, Stone Temple Pilots, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Foreigner, Bad Company, Led Zeppelin, Pennywise, Guns & Roses, Muse, UFO, Y&T, Great White, White Snake, The Cult, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Ozzie, Elton John, Billy Joel, Jackson 5, ELO, Cheap Trick, Stevie Wonder, Journey, Maroon 5, See what I mean? EQUIPMENT

I have a couple of mics, I prefer Electro-Voice mics or the standard Shure SM or Beta models for practice or stage performances. I have a Sunn PA, and some Carvin monitor speakers, and a bunch of mic and patch cords. When I connect with the right band I have the resources to upgrade from there.
