ABOUT

I am currently in a few inspiring temporary projects. However as you all know it is productive to branch out to find the right project to go far! I am very versatile player and if the energy is right. Jazz, Funk, RnB, Country, Classic Rock is what inspires me the most. Whatever I can get my hands on with the right talented musicians. I love to add my expertise and experience to bands that can use it. I have played at the finest clubs denver has to offer as well as Winter Park jazz Fest, Brekenridge, Vail, taste of Colorado on and on and on. I have played with many groups in the metro area such as Power Play, light Years Ahead and Buckners funken jazz and Funk Shui, William and the Romantics 21 piece Big Band.

I have made about 11 studio recordings in the past 5 years and I'm in the middle of another with a local songwriter at this time and getting ready to record with the "Big Band" William and the Romantics.

UPDATE... William and the Romantics recording is finished!

I also teach and currently have a few drum students that are doing very well. I have excelent stage presence and I'm ready to perform.

As you may know it is hard to find good paying gigs unless you poses a few qualities. First and foremost you must have showmanship!!! The show is another aspect of musicianship that 99% of musicians do not poses or understand. Playing music alone is not enough! You can loose an audience in 5 seconds if you leave them hanging or don't keep then entertained.

I have performed with many bands in the 42 plus years of playing drums. Mostly Funk, R&B, Soul, etc. Although I have purposely put myself in different musical situations over the years and have played as many different styles (Country, Rock, Reggae, Big Band, etc) of music I could get my hands on basically to be as rounded of a player as possible. A rounded "Pocket Player" I am! My main preference of playing is R&B, Funk, etc. I have no ego and get along with all types of people.

The business aspect of playing is my priority! I am commited to looking and playing at the finest venues and will help the right group of people go far!!!

I have 4 drum sets. 2 are in studios in Littleton and the other here at my studio in Parker the other 2 are ready to play at a moments notice here with me. One is a Jazz/Rock kit with triggers and the other is a replica of Big Band drummer Louie Belsons 1945 kit which I built (triggers as well). I can duplicate any funk/R&B sound (via triggers and drum modules) out there from the 70's, 80's 90's to current and I also have in ear monitors.

I have the ability to travel and have the time to promote the band as needed. I am a team player and understand what it takes to make things work for us all as a team!

If you are looking for a well rounded musician that has great communication skills and the foresight to maintain or bring things to another level of playing please give me a call.
