I've been playing drums since I was 8 (that's 50 years ago). Played in different cover bands through high school and college, but not much since. Primarily playing in praise bands for the past 15 years. Moved to Florida last year and I thought I might like to find fellow musicians to jam with and maybe do the occasional gig. (I have a full-time job so not looking to make this a career move).

I played primarily southern rock in high school, alternative in college, contemporary Christian the past 15 years. My favorite drummer is Richie Hayward of Little Feat (I wish I could play as well as him, RIP), Lynyrd Skynyrd, Molly Hatchet, typical '70s acts like Boston, Kansas, Eagles, BOC, Styx, et. al., B-52's, Talking Heads type stuff in the 80's. I played with a zydeco band in the northeast for a few months and fell in love with BeauSoleil. (Are there zydeco bands in Florida?) I love playing blues, funk, rockabilly, everything but speed metal really.
- Other Percussion:
I have an Alesis Crimson electronic drum kit with a Simmons DA-50 Drum amp because I play primarily with acoustic guitars at church and hate being in an aquarium. I also play the cajon.
Take the Money and Run Drum Demo
Take the Money and Run Drum Demo Track number: 1 Year: 2019 Album: Fly Like An Eagle Genre: Rock
This is my first attempt at a drum cover. I am using the Alesis stock 1970's kit while I search for voices for my own preferred kit. I recorded on my computer using Audacity. I could not find a drumless version of this song, so I played the intro by myself then played with the Steve Miller Band version.
Flirtin With Disaster Drum Demo
Flirtin With Disaster Drum Demo Track number: 2 Year: 2019 Album: Flirtin With Disaster Genre: Southern Rock
This is my second attempt at a drum cover. I am using the Alesis stock 1970's kit while I search for voices for my own preferred kit. I recorded on my computer using Audacity. This is recorded using a drumless track, so all the playing is me.
