Redstone Rising is a hard rock group out of Athens, Georgia. The music provides a raw edge with melodic progressions that appeal to a variety of tastes. Each of their influences span a wide variety of rock music that serves to build their unique sound. The band typically plays in the downtown Athens area, but is looking forward to playing other cities in the future. With all five members complete, the group looks forward to a busy future.

Collaborating to build a sound that includes the many different influences with a familiar hook, the group writes all of the songs collectively. The demo cd Redstone Rising has released contains five of their primary songs. The band says that each song on the cd represents a style of sound the group would like to explore. From heavy and fast riffs like "Engage" to the slow, melodic progressions in "Blind", a variety of sounds are present. Plans to record an album have not been decided but the band continues to write new songs in hopes of future success. The group now looks forward to playing with other Southeastern rock groups in hopes of forming a tour-like schedule.

RR has played various venues in Athens including Last Call, Tasty World, and the Georgia Theatre. The group recently recorded their first demo CD at DARC Studio in Athens.
