Hello, I recently moved to Ormond Beach, FL from Illinois and am looking to meet musicians to play with in this new area to me. I have a background playing guitar in several original bands. Most recently I was in a band called The Complaint Line which toured the Midwest and released several EP’s. I am of the unfortunate generation of self-taught guitar players who didn’t learn how to read music but I think I have a great feel for what I play. I would love to jam and see where something goes and don’t mind playing rhythm or lead in a future project. I may be open to bass as well. My vocal skills are pretty limited to backing vocals. I am up for a lot of different styles but prefer to play/write original music with like minded musician, although certainly with limited material it is fun to play covers as we get accumulated to each other’s styles. I have a handful of already written songs and lots of music ideas to share that I have kept on the shelf.

I picked up a guitar because of Jimi Hendrix and the Band of Gypsys album when I was 12 years old. It changed my life. I love alternative rock, stuff that sounds like the 90’s, fuzzy great riffs with pop hooks. To name some recent artists I have loved Modest Mouse, Coheed and Cambria, the Flaming Lips, Death Cab for Cutie, Pixies, Weezer, Tool, Rush, it’s kinda endless. I don’t seem to have a clue what’s going on the radio right now though :)

I am almost exclusively Fender. I have a Fender Mexican Tele, Fender Mexican Custom Strat as my main axes. I have a Epiphone Les Paul, And a Kramer Explorer look-alike as well. I have a pedal board with the usual suspects and a 60 watt Carvin 2x12 50 watt Tube Amp. My acoustic electrics are a Fender something and a Ovation Applause.
