Keyboardist / vocalist interested in collaborating remotely to compose and record jazz/ rock/ electronica fusion originals. I played professionally for 12 years in a number of progressive Dallas bands in the 70’s and 80’s and continued to play solo jazz occasionally until finally getting into home recording as a hobby in 2012.

These days, I write and record fusion originals in what has evolved into a fully networked synthesizer recording lab. The lab includes digital, analog, and virtual synths with a wide range of instruments and effects. I record these as either midi or audio in Logic Pro on a Mac. All of the example tracks here on BandMix were recorded in this lab over the past few years. In addition to my originals, several cover tunes are included as familiar references for both my playing and sound design.

Using sample libraries and a Yamaha workstation, I can produce realistic pianos, organs, guitars, bass, orchestral and ethnic instruments, and any number of pads and experimental instruments. For electronic sounds, I have four analog and several virtual synths. For drum kits and other percussion, I use Maschine with NI libraries and a set of Roland V-Drums.

Remote collaboration is easy, as long as you have a home recording setup. You record along with a track I give you or you provide me tracks synched to a beat that I import and record my tracks. Together, we can take a production from composition to mix and final master without ever being in the same location.

This is strictly for fun - not a paid gig either way, but you can certainly sell any tracks you've written; use them as a demo; or simply keep them in your family as a musical legacy. So, if you're a talented musician and want to collaborate to compose and record fusion originals, message me to discuss. Interest is pretty sparse right now, so hit me up.
