Residue is a modern, hard-rock band located in Jackson, MS (originally from Austin, TX). The band is currently comprised of Bert Henry(drums) and Corey Trahan (Guitar/Vocals). The original line-up, formed in March 2009, included veteran Austin musicians: Mike Carpenter (guitar), Dee Rob (bass), John Hollingsworth (guitar), and Corey Trahan (vocals). In the Summer of 2011, however, Trahan moved to Jackson, MS, where he decided to keep the musical torch alive as Resi-TWO.

Residue has toured with numerous national acts, including Adema, Powerman 5000, Hurt, Papa Roach, etc. In 2010, Residue was signed to Dirt Bag Records, a Warner Brothers subsidiary label well known for their climbing artist "Seasons After". The band decided to drop the label, however, upon breaking up in early 2011.

Having picked up the torch for phase-two Residue, Trahan and Henry have dedicated themselves to creating music with the energy, creativity and passion of the original project, well known to TX Residue fans. It is likely that Resi-NEW will pick up momentum very quickly early and begin to play regularly throughout Mississippi in early 2012. Currently, the band is refining their live set and recording a first EP - which will likely be released early 2012 as well.
