Retro Hits Tributes is a company based in San Diego that puts together, manages, and books bands that pay tribute to music paradigms. The first installments include San Diego's tribute to yacht-rock, High Tide Society (formerly AM Gold), Dim The Lights, a tribute to Philadelphia/NYC 1970's Disco, and the Bad Hombres, tribute to outlaw-country. More tributes coming in 2018.
We're especially looking for singers (male/female), but we invite all pro musicians here (any instrument) interested in what we're doing to reach out to us. We're always on the look-out to expand our musician network and roster.
At the helm of Retro Hits Tributes is Berklee College of Music graduate, John Perkins. His performance skills honed by percussion greats Dave DiCenso (Josh Groban, Duran Duran), Kenwood Dennard (Jaco Pastorius, Maceo Parker), Mike Mangini (Steve Vai, Dream Theater), Eguie Castrillo (Tito Puento, Steve Winwood, Giovanni Hidalgo), Ralph Peterson (Roy Hargrove, Wynton Marsalis), among others. Soon after graduating from Berklee with a degree in Music Business Management, John continued his education and completed his MBA in Entrepreneurial/Marketing at Suffolk University in Boston.
As a professional drummer, John has performed well over 2,000 shows, including national jazz festivals and celebrity fundraisers. He has performed on stage with artists such as Heidi Newfield (Trick Pony), Marc Ford (Booker T Jones, The Black Crowes), Bobby Hebb, and members of the band Lettuce. John has also shared the stage with artists such as Little Richard, Kool and the Gang, The Fixx, Tower Of Power, George Porter Jr, Maceo Parker, and The Dirty Dozen Brass Band.

DISCLAIMER: RHT looks much less for "band members", and more for just good players to work with us on a team from gig to gig, so our network of players is always growing.
At the end of the day, the gig has to get done - client must be satisfied. Pretty simple.
