Tool Tribute band "Learn to Swim" is in need of a Bassist! We are fairly new, we have only played 3 shows so far but we are not in the garage mode anymore and are trying to make it in the scene. Our first 3 shows were really successful. I will post links to our and be pages so you can see for yourself. Our Bassist quit because of a bunch a personal stuff going on in his life is preventing him from having any time to play shows. We are looking for someone who has a decent bass and amp, and a few pedals and has some time to play. We want to play about 1 show a month on a weekend and practice about once a week. We are a Tool Tribute band so it would also help if you liked Tool. And you don't have to be that experienced to play it, but some experience would definitley help. A guitarist buddy of mine filled for our last show and learned 7 songs in 2 weeks! Although he is really good, it really isn't that hard to play on bass, it's just the timing that can be tricky on some of the songs, but it is fun as hell! My brother and I (vocals and guitar) live in Cary, but we practice at our Drummer's house who lives in Jackson Springs which is near Southern Pines, but we mostly play in Raleigh, although we would like to eventually branch out and play all around the state. If you live in the triangle area you are more than welcome to ride with my brother and I down to our Drummer's house for practice so you don't have to kill your gas. EQUIPMENT
Guitarist has same guitar as Adam from Tool and a killer amp. Drummer has a sweet drumset and is nasty. Singer has mic and p.a., not to mention a great voice and incredible passion!
