Experienced lead vocalist/front man here,
I possess a wide spanning and varied taste (Mostly 90's and earlier preference)
I am looking for a good group of musicians who enjoy and want to play similar cover tunes and/or originals in a Classic Rock, Prog Rock, or Big Band Rock style group.
I dig outfits like Jethro Tull, Three Dog Night and Blood Sweat and Tears as much as more common Rock and Roll fair like The Who and Zeppelin.
Looking to find good group of musicians who like to play similar era, genre and songs as I do though as you can see from the list below my taste is pretty eclectic. For the right fit I am willing to relocate and also to commit to Tour.
I prefer classic rock Genre or songs in that vein. My voice is a tenor with good range, a strong falsetto and very good stage presence, I know full well how to work a crowd. I also write lyrics and melodies and have interest in doing originals as well.
I am capable of capturing the inflections of the singers I perform, my most natural style comparison and the vocal ranges I hit would be either Paul Rodgers of Bad Company or Burton Cummings of the Guess Who, melodic vocals with a bit of blue eyed soul rasp to them.
My preference is to practice in the city as that's logistically best for me but for one off's or to cover a gig or 2 for a band while they secure a permanent replacement I'd be open to consider practices in the burbs. Again for the Right fit I'd make an exception because when the stars are aligned they are. :)
