ABOUT

chose "alternative/modern rock" because it's the broadest explanation. I really like all kinds of rock except for the XTREME tuneless metal stuff~ It's got to have some melody I mean c'mon!

Influences

wolfmother, hendrix, tool, Audio Slave, RATM, arctic monkeys,Disturbed, Godsmack, black sabbath, black flag, Michael Franti, Motorhead, Red Hot Chili Peppers, etc.
Right now I'm really diggin' Wolfmother: to me that's REAL metal. Real metal has always been that kind of Sabbath,Zep, Iggy and the Stooges, Motorhead thing ; To me, if there's no melody it doesn't even qualify as music (like X-treme metal and rap), but I guess that just depends on one's own version of "metal" . Obviously I like "punk" too. But once again....labels and opinions ~what most people call "punk" these days is really just wimpy pop drivel- teenagers whining about their girl that left them. And "metal" is often either emo-ized in the same way or tuneless aggressive music to murder by.
Additionally I'd like to add that I don't mind doing covers as long as they're cool covers and done kick-ass. I don't want to be in a band that's a copy machine and with no originality. If covers is what takes to get your foot in the door (and then kick it open), so be it.
