We are a band of the world and we record our tracks for different parts of the worlds. Unclear? All right, I am the drummer and I record from Sweden, the guitarist records from Uruguay, the keyboard player plays from Italy. We communicate through vocal messages on whatsapp. Then we exchange our tracks and discuss about it, how to improve some passages etc...
Usually it works like this:
I, the drummer, usually write the songs and have the starting idea. Then I record the drums and sing on it (although I can't sing). I send this demo track to my bandmates and we start discussing the chord progression, what instruments to put, which section needs more instruments etc...
The the keyboard player tries a few things and then we discuss that...then the guitarist etc....
So, as you can see we never actually play together, which could be frustrating. At the same time you could record your tracks when best suits you without the stress for playing gigs etc...
We are now looking for a singer and bass player. Possibly the same person :-)
