Been playing for over 40 years, don't really spend much time on covers anymore, mostly consistently working on technique, skills and original sounds. Can usually pick up the basics of a cover by ear in a few minutes, then hash it out from there. Some things still give me a hard time on occasion, usually because it is something challenging in the first place, so I use it to improve myself.

I think my favorite style of music to play is heavier bluesy type music. But I like a taste of just about anything.

I've was in several working classic rock bands that played all over NE Ohio early on. Played tons of classic rock covers with a few odds and ends from other genre. But that had been on hold for family and life.

I love acoustic and mellow stuff too, but probably couldn't not stay interested in either exclusively.

Would like to do originals, with a bit of covers mixed in.

I tend to play a bit more loose, but I like to study how other people play.
More recent times I like bands like tool, disturbed,but I also love music from the 50's thru today.
