I’ve played in tribute bands, jam bands, cover bands, trios, and duos.
I can sit with your jam band at a moments notice. Tell me the song name and key, or not; I’ll figure it out. Same deal for cover bands if I’m familiar with the setlist.
If you want to bring me in on a working tribute or cover band, have song list ready to share and please note specific song versions, if that’s relevant. Some bands like the Dead have hundreds of versions of their songs. Ideally, for me, if you’ve created a song list with Apple Music, share that with me as well. If not, no worries. Just putting it out there. If you’re transposing any songs, let me know that, too. If you’re not all working from the same song version, have a chord chart of what you’ve settled on. If none of that matters, say so and I'll do my best to fit in to what you're doing.
