Long time experienced guitarist/vocalist, looking for the right situation to join (or start). Maybe, just maybe, there are some others out there with the same desires and constraints.
Music: improvisational, jam band, funk, groove, soul jazz, etc. Or something else, as long as there's room for improv and group interplay? I'm pretty open, except no to the standard bar band classic rock list.
Gig: 5-10 per year. Too busy for more. Brewpubs, porch and house gigs, parties, small festivals, etc. No to late nights and empty bars.
Practice: Once or twice a month (more to start), weekday afternoons, somewhere in a 3-8pm window.
I don't own a PA or have a place for a band to practice.
Would love to find some other solid experienced musicians, who like me, have full time jobs and only want to play occasionally, when it fits into our busy lives, but still want to create great music.
An existing situation would be the dream. But if starting something new, we'll need drums, bass, and some combination of another guitarist or a keyboard player (or both), maybe horn player(s), maybe percussion. I'm comfortable singing 30-50% of the tunes, so would need others that can also sing lead and harmony.
