ABOUT

I have been, since 2013, the full time bassist for "Walkin with Cash", which is a Johnny Cash Tribute band. Which is primarily a fair/festival/casino and special event band.

Being a 'special type' of band, we do not play every weekend. That being said, I am interested in joining/starting a "Red Dirt" style band. Something on the order of: Cross Canadian Ragweed, Stoney LaRue, Cody Canada and The Departed and such. If this is something you'd be interested in, please contact me.

I started my "pro-musical career" as a piano player, at the age of 15, playing &"honky-tonk piano" in the clubs of Illinois. Realizing being a "1 trick pony" wasn't enough, I learned how to play stringed instruments, as well as, drums. Being able to read standard notation, lead sheets, the Nashville Number System, having a good working knowledge of music theory, along with having a good tempo meter, helped in learning new instruments.

Although I elected never to go "on the road" as a full time musician, I have shared the stage with Bucky Covington, Chuck Wicks, David Allan Coe, Justin Moore, Walkin' with Cash Band, Lyman Ellerman & The Nashville Salvation Band, Jessi James, Jenny Campbell, Gracia Harrison, Ratt, and Blacky Lawless, to name a few. From the honky-tonk's in Southern Indiana, to the bright casino lights in Las Vegas, to the blues clubs in Chicago, I have kept my "Family 1st" attitude. I have never regretted one minute not going "on the road." My family comes 1st and foremost...barre none!

While music has always been my "hobby", spending countless hours in the studio as a session player, music did put me through college. And playing shows here and there has put food on the table during hard times, too.

I have played lead/rhythm guitar, bass guitar, piano and drums for many bands around Illinois and Indiana, along with laying down tracks in the studio for various bands and solo artists. While never claiming or wanting to be a "Front man", I have sang my fair share of tunes, as well.

In 2008, I joined the modern country band, Seeing Daylight, based out of Springfield, Illinois, as their bassist. While the run was very good and well accepted, as they say, All good things must come to an end. As a result, Seeing Daylight disband June 01, 2013.

When I'm not gigging, I "sub" or "fill-in" for several local bands and I'm available for studio work.

If you are needing a fill-in bassist or a track recorded in the studio, shoot me an e-mail and if I'm available, we'll work something out. Typically, 1 week prior notice with your set list is needed for live performances. Country (new and classic), blues and southern rock are my normal genre, although all genres will be considered. Originals are welcome, too.

The music and videos are from a previous band, Seeing Daylight. I, Seeing Daylight or any of it's band members(past or present), do not own or have copyrights to any music or lyrics. They are posted merely for entertainment purposes only!

The dates listed below are gigs, primarily for Seeing Daylight. However, there are also dates that have been contracted to fill in for.
