I've been involved with music almost all my life. I played piano by ear at age 5 but didn't learn to read music proficiently until much later. I majored in music at the University of Maryland and got my Masters degree in conducting at the University of Miami. I was a music teacher for 5 years but spent the rest of my life as a software engineer. I still play the French horn in the Coachella Valley Symphony and I am still an active piano player and vocalist. I've also performed in musical theater.
