“Almost Famous” is a successful, Party/Acoustic/Pop/Grunge/Rock cover band from Lafourche/Terrebonne/Orleans Parishes. Line-up consists of male and female vocalist and several other multi- talented musicians. Each musician plays at least one instrument. Each musician brings their own connections, and venues are expected to be played from Lafayette to Slidell/Throughout South Louisiana and wherever the wind takes them. Vocalists are in demand and have been extremely successful in the past. Have had to turn down several Festivals and other venues (House of Blues) due to lack of bass player or some other musician in the process of "forming the band"

Rick Vaughan- vocals... Has fronted and performed with successful bands over last 15 years. Is self employed and has business connections throughout Southern Louisiana. Areas include Lafayette-Baton Rouge-Slidell-to the New Orleans region. Has business savvy, a vision, is a creative producer, a Performer/Entertainer/Actor.
J'Leigh Chauvin- vocals... vocal competitor and has won majority of Louisiana’s State, city and local vocal competitions. Was sent to Hollywood, California to compete among the 325 people selected from the 100,000s of hopefuls each year, from around the United States for the television competition..American Idol. Started competing for American Idol in 2010, since the age of 15, and has been sent to Hollywood every year thereafter. Decided to take off this year to pursue other venues.
Vocalists formed a cover/original band that surpassed the expectations of many. Both have been performing at weddings and different venues as the acoustic band “ContagioUs ./CatchTheFever while waiting on the group "Almost Famous" to reform and have become quite well known and sought after throughout New Orleans District, French Quarter and Garden District. We will not play for less than $100 a night, 3 1/2 hour gig, per musician to start. Have made much more in past, this is a low-ball figure. Will have multiple venues to choose from. The musicians in this band believe that this is a project that is meant to be fun. This is our release from our everyday life. We are just a bunch of everyday people that have the talent/drive/personality to create something, out the box, not your typical cover band. We just want to have fun doing what we love…playing music and being creative while doing so.
