ABOUT

I have been a professional musician and songwriter for over thirty-five years and I have been teaching guitar professionally for twenty-five years and teaching on a full time basis for the past eight years.

Over the course of my career I have earned the reputation as a virtuoso guitarist which has led to a considerable amount of session and stage work with artists representing a wide range of musical genres. I have played and toured with various rock and blues bands and performed as a solo, singer songwriter. For the past few years my musical focus has been on songwriting, composing, recording, producing, marketing and publishing my music.

I play electric guitar, acoustic guitar, resonator, harmonica, bass and piano. I am an excellent lead guitarist and I can play slide with the best of them. I can hold my own when it comes to vocals, but if I’m playing blues I can make the hair on the back of your neck stand up.

I am not really interested in playing bar gigs and since I am waaaay beyond my mid-twenties it is very unlikely that I will ever be signed by a major label as a “performing” artist no matter how good my music might be. Those days are long gone. However, as an accomplished musician and songwriter, I feel confident that my talent is marketable from the standpoint of writing, composing, recording, producing, marketing, publishing and licensing original music in the ever expanding music market.

I would like to find other “highly seasoned” professional caliber musicians/songwriters like myself to form a partnership with for the purpose of writing and composing original music. We will record and produce the demo’s ourselves. We will market the demo’s. Our goal – We will sell the rights to music publishers, major recording artists, or to any number of other “buyers” like the motion picture (movie) industry, television productions, or major advertising campaigns just to name a few. There is definitely a demand and there is definitely a whole lot of money that can be made.

Influences

My musical background can be described as"Blues Based Rock." My influences include many of the old great blues guitarists, Duane Allman, Jeff Beck, David Gilmore, Eric Clapton, Leo Kottke (acoustic guitar - 12 string guitar), Lester Chambers (harmonica).
