Trained in jazz fusion, my live experience consists of playing drums for acoustic, blues-rock, and country-blues outfits. I've also played hip-hop and accompanied MCs in Portland, OR and NY.
I've performed back-up vocals while playing (recently on Sam Cooke, Beatles, and Rolling Stones covers) and lead on a few songs (e.g. the Band's Ophelia and The Weight).
I've recorded and toured with Kate Taylor (://.katetaylor) and Taylor Brown (.taylorbrownmusic) in NY, PA, MA, NC, and CA
and played with MC Kritik in OR and currently with the Kettle River Trio (Ramblers) in MN. References are available.
I have thirteen years of percussion experience and the over the past seven years I've been consistently playing live. I'm reliable, punctual, and hard-working and have my own transportation and equipment.
Any mandolin players out there, I'm looking for a guru to instruct me in classical mandolin technique.
