My name is Brian and I am a guitar player from the Chicago, IL area. I just moved here to Pittsburgh about 10 months ago. I am looking to start a metal band. I have been in a very serious band that made it to several contract offers until our drummer and vocalist chose drugs over music. Let me tell you a little about what I am looking for. I play metal, mostly thrash influenced, but real metal. I dont play 80's hair band sh*t. I write music influenced by Slayer, Pantera, Lamb of God, Divine Heresy, and Machine Head. I am a serious musician that wants to have a great band, and if we could take it to a big level then great! I do not have an ego, and want people that do not either. No one with drug habits should apply. I do want a serious band.

A little bit about myself: I have been playing guitar for 14 years, and my last serious band was called Dissension. I write music to be its most powerful with a full band, so I dont write to show off. You can check out a clip from my last band at ://./watch?v=yJyokj6dNeA I am the one on the left and it has a pretty good shot of a solo I do in the middle of the song. That song is more of my thrash side, but I am really wanting to write some more technical pieces. Need any other clips or sounds let me know. I use all professional gear. When on stage I use a Mesa Boogie Triple rectifier with full rack unit containing DBX Compressor, Sennheiser Wireless unit, Korg Tuner..ect. I use Dimebag Darrell Dean guitars, both ML and Razorback models. When recording I use a mixture of a Dave Mustaine Flying V and the Razorbacks, and switch between a Mesa Boogie amp, Fender Metal Head, and Marshall Mode 4. I want to be the best and will work hard to make sure that this bands succeeds.

What I am looking for:

Band: This should be a family, if it does not run like one, the band will fail. Looking for good personalities that only look out for the good of the band and does not need to feed an ego. People in there 20's and early 30's should feel free to audition. I also need people that want to practice, and be the best, and will push each other to be better. I want to write all original music and maybe play a cover on occasion to surprise a crowd, but this is not a cover band. If you want a chance to make it in metal and have a serious passion, this is the band for you. You should have good gear, and be great at what you do, I only use all professional gear because I want a professional sound. You may not have the best gear, but if you are good then it should not matter, but be prepared to play at a big level, and that usually means good gear.

Guitarist: There is no lead guitar in this band, it doesnt matter if one of us is better than the other, its all about the band, so having more of a lamb of God relationship would be best, but if someone just wants to be a rhythm person than great! However, you will need to have skills of a lead guitar player because we will probably play alot of technical pieces using harmony and FAST Riffs.

Vocalist: I need a front man/woman! I need someone that will make a crowd go crazy and will be able to handle any situation. I want someone with amazing writing ability that has words of meaning. The type of vocalist I am looking for would sound more like Randy Blythe or Phil Anselmo, but be able to sing on occasion like Rob Flynn. I do not own a PA system, so this would be the vocalists instrument to contribute. I have a sound board, mics, but no amp or speakers for it.

Drummer: You must be the best drummer on the planet! lol The drummer as you know is the heart beat of the band, and with out someone that is highly technical, fast, and on time, a drummer could easily kill a band. I write alot of music with drums in mind, and need a technical drummer like lamb of God but that has the double bass of a Dying Fetus.

Bassist: Guitar never sounds good without a bassist to clean it up. I need someone that has great ideas, highly skilled, and doesn't just want to sit in the background of a band. The bassist would ideally be somewhat of a Rex Brown, highly technical, fast, and good at writing music.
