ABOUT

I started playing violin at age ten and now I have been fiddling around with bass guitar for about six years now. I can read music but I also have a great ear and pick up notes and rhythms pretty quickly. I know how to play very structured music as well as improvisational music.

Influences

My original influence growing up was movie music and that's why I chose to play violin as a child. I grew into more of blues/rock/metal and that's when I began messing around with guitars and basses. Today, 25 year old Riley's strongest music influences would be jazz/funk and have been into alt rock and even a bit of pop. Been a long musical journey. I have played in Carnegie Hall in NY with an orchestra all the way to a dive bar in San Diego while wearing a dress. Looking for that nec=xt experience.
