Born in Brooklyn, New York, and reared in Virginia Beach, Rina Chanel was raised to know good music. A prodigy, her natural ability made her a stand-out vocalist in many styles from R&B and swing to pop, ensemble, and opera. Her natural aptitude and a solid foundation in music education developed a classical proficiency as she learned to sing in French, German, Italian and Czech while attending Radford Universityon a music scholarship. During her university time, she honed her skills in acting, theater, opera and musical theater.Rina studied her craft and performed background vocals for International Recording Indie R&B and Jazz Artist Tracy Hamlin. She was featured on Baltimore producer Raymond Barton’s EP “If Only For Love”. Her unmistakable voice helped others excel, as it evolved into the perfection of today’s Rina Chanel, powerhouse vocals, produced by Bennie Pearce.
