Riotous Indignation is a thrash metal/hardcore crossover band from Chicago, Il USA. Which was founded by Bob Clayton and Mike Repel in 2015 and spent a majority of its first year writing their first release; The Violentus Musicae EP.

The bands debut release was recorded and produced by Repel, and was mixed at Dexter Labs Studio in Milford CT. by Nick Bellmore and was Mastered by 2 time Grammy nominated Chris “Zeuss” Harris. Both of whom recently produced the Hatebreed “Concrete Confessional” album which debuted during May of 2016.

The first track on The Violentus Musicae EP titled This World which premiered on MetalUnderground has a cinematic intro that is bridged into the song with what sounds like tribal war drums reminiscent of Sepultura and followed by the bass guitar groove and guitar part that was musically influenced by Neglect and Judge. This song delves into the decaying state of our society as a whole.

“I wanted to delve into some thought provoking subject matter that focuses on the ills that plague our society and can almost describe this release as an angry social commentary on the world we live in. 3 out of the 4 songs on the EP fit this description, the exception being “Our Scene Our Way” which is a traditional hardcore music singalong anthem.” - Mike Repel - New Noise Magazine May 4th, 2016

This message has also been embedded into a very graphic audio visual work that became the music video for Secret Societies, the third track on the EP, which is the bands tour-de-force. This controversial video premiered on Metal Insider on June 13th 2016 and has turned many heads.

Music for the band has confirmed airplay on more than 40 internet and terrestrial radio stations in 7 countries, and the song Secret Societies has been charting for 17 weeks on Radio Naklo in Poland as of April 4th 2017.

The bands second music video for "the End" which is the last track on the EP, debuted on Metal Underground on Jan 31st 2017.
