The founder of "Branded Phoenix" is an accomplished professional musician with experience. The lead vocalist formerly with Broken Bow has opened for the likes of Joe Diffie, Ricky Van Shelton, and Jeff Carson, and performed at fairs and festivals. We are auditioning players for a Country Rock/variety band, based near the Des Moines, IA area. We are looking for the best of the best.
While the band will evolve as we add players, we plan to blend Country/Southern rock, Rock (70’s forward), and occasional rhythm and blues together. We want a harmony intensive group so ability to sing harmony is preferred. Good original material and recording is something we want to incorporate. While the primary lead vocal is female, we want to energize the stage with a mix that includes group harmony songs, and male lead. Showmanship is vital!
We will do festivals, day gigs, fairs, opening acts, etc. There may be some bar gigs (depending upon money, timing, gig, etc.)
We will start out rehearsing once/week and everyone will be expected to have their parts ready to go for rehearsals so practice time is dedicated to orchestrating and tightening material.
No drugs. No drama. We are looking for serious players who are professional and like to have fun. We plan to move quickly, incorporating learned material we have in common.
