Rob String Works

Vocalist, Rhythm Guitar, Lead Guitar, Keyboard, Banjo, Fiddle, Steel guitar.

Guitarist of 35 years looking for fresh project/band. My influences, and interests are pretty vast and eclectic. I have developed the skill set over the years to play various styles such as:

Country/Southern Rock, Rock-a-billy,
Classic Rock,
Blues/Blues Rock, Boogie Rock...just to name a few.

Proficient with different playing techniques/styles such as electric, acoustic guitar, Banjo style and traditional country style finger picking, with standard and open tunings. Also very much at home with playing slide guitar and have some experience with playing Dobro.

Also can sing decent backup vocals with harmonies, and some lead vocals...

Have most recently been playing in a country/southern rock band and have developed the chops, style, and a solid appreciation for the genre. I am definitely open to other genres too, have always wanted to do a Robert Cray/Eric Clapton style blues or ZZ Top flavored boogie band. Can pretty much play anything thats mainstream and quite a bit off the beaten path too. Also realize the importance of playing danceable material. Definitely a big plus as we all know for a successful, working band to have the ability to get people out on to the dance floor...

Please have demos or videos available if contacting me in regards to this ad. Can also make a quick video on your cell phone of yourself performing and email it to me if you don't have demos, or let me know if you need my cell # to text it to...thanks.
