I'm looking for a few good jazz musicians to create a quartet.

I am a retired English as a Second Language educator and currently continue to write textbooks for adults. On the side, I have played tenor sax in jazz combos occasionally and mainly play for fun at home to unwind. I am a good player and want to start a combo. I don't care if we gig a lot. I just want to play regularly with others who are excellent at their craft and are like minded. To clarify, I have high values and believe in clean living. I have been disappointed in the past to have to endure off-color language and egocentric people. I just want to share the joy of communicating through music. I don't have a place for the band to practice so securing a location is another concern, but I can afford to pitch in for a place to practice and play.

Influences

For years I enjoyed and tried to sound like Stan Getz (especially Bossa - I speak Portuguese) and Zoot Sims. I have in the last few years enjoyed the controlled and classic sound of Scott Hamilton. Many say my sound is similar to his.

Members Of Band

Only me - Sax (tenor, alto, soprano), flute (out of practice), clarinet. I want to build a combo - acoustic bass, drums, and a good solid keyboard player.
